Intro
And now it's time for a training camp today with Neil Roberts and the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings have a new look defense this year as they're going to a34. And some might say that doesn't affect the D-backs as much, but some might argue otherwise. Joining us is our Vikings insider, Luke Bryan from Locked on Vikings. And Luke, let's talk safety position. I really like Cam Bynum last year when he came in for Harrison Smith, when Smith was out, Woods is gone. So that made the pairing, I thought, fairly obvious. But first round, Lewis is a beast.

Yeah, it's a really fun competition and you're getting to see a lot of it because Harrison Smith, he's older, he's taken a lot of veteran rest days. So you get to see the young guys. And I think what this new defense is going to ask of their secondary coverage is a lot more free flowing. There's a lot more deciding, there's a lot more freelancing. Zimmer's defense was a little more rigid, a little bit. Here's your instruction. Go do it. And this done until defense is a lot more read and react, which is going to be tougher. There's a lot more learning to that. And those young players might struggle early. So I think what you might see here is Cam Bynum is starting safety week one. And as the season wears on and Lewis soon gets a little more used to it, you'll see him start to rotate in a little more, a little more, a little more until suddenly he's the primary guy.

With only one. Has four three speed to that scene. Right. We'll keep an eye on it. He will top corners when we come back.

We're with Vikings Insider. Luke, Bryan and Luke. Let's talk Corners for a second. They've got some depth at corner right now.
00;02;16;23 - 00;02;29;25
Luke Braun
Far and away. The best corner on the team is still Patrick Peterson. It seems like Cam Dantzler is outplaying Booth right now by a little and Andrew Booth is going up against more of the twos. He's getting a little bit more Smith-Marsette and Osborn and dancers got to keep up with Thielen and Jefferson. So I think dancing is going to win that job right off the bat. But at cornerback, it helps if you have a little rotating that you can do. So that'll be really nice. And Caleb Evans has done a really nice job as a fourth round pick. We'll see how much you can get him and he'll still probably be more of a backup than a rotational guy.

All right, good stuff, Luke. Hey, that brings this report to a close. Until next time. I'm Neil Roberts.
