And now it's time for training camp today with Neil Roberts and the Minnesota Vikings.
Neil Roberts
He was a third round pick for the Vikings last year out of Texas A&M, where he crushed several all time records, including Passing Yards and TDs. Kellen Mond joins us. And Kellen, your second year here in the league and with the Vikings. How does this year compared to last coming in?
Kellen Mond
It's been great so far. You know, it's a new culture, a new coaching staff, new GM. So it's kind of a full 180 and I think a lot of the guys have responded well to it. Great energy in the building.
Kellen Mond
And, you know, we're just continuing to look to build. And from my perspective, having that five week period before we get on the field of OTAs was huge for me to come in and learn the playbook where I didn't have that from being drafted my first year.
Kellen Mond
So that was, I think, a huge difference in my ability to come in and learn the playbook. And, you know, now we're just out here slinging it around and.
Neil Roberts
This new system might suit all the quarterbacks pretty well, right? It's probably more of a throw offense.
Kellen Mond
Yeah, I think it's very balanced and just being able to create different formations and create matchups and this offense being able to use C.J., him and Dalvin in the pass game. And obviously we know what they can do in the run game. But I think being able to stay in those base type of personnel and spread teams out and allow C.J. and Dalvin and also JJ, Adam, K.J. and our tight ends to be able to make plays. So it's a very unique offense. And, you know, I think Kevin is going to continue to do a great job.

We're Vikings quarterback Kellen Mond and Kellen, a couple of vets in Cousins and Mannion. What do you pick up from guys like that?
Kellen Mond
You know, I think one of the blessed ones to have those type of guys in our room, you know, you hear a lot about guys who are they're kind of very distant from that younger player and kind of hard on them. But, you know, I'm fortunate to be able to have a great quarterback room and, you know, we just constantly push each other.
