MINOT – Though Minot’s new City Hall has been open for some time, the official ribbon cutting took place Thursday, and many Minot residents gathered in the hall to take their first look at the new place.

Mayor Tom Ross and City Manager Harold Stewart, as well as representatives for U.S. Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer gave a few words before the ribbon cutting.

“There’s an endless list of people to thank for helping guide this project to completion,” said Ross. “From the City manager to our employees and department heads, all the contractors and workers who renovated this building into what we see today. And especially, City Engineer Lance Meyer who spearheaded this project from the very beginning.”

Ross presented Meyer with a plaque before the ribbon cutting.

Residents then gathered in the hall for food, drinks, and other refreshments to view the basement, main floor, and upstairs of the new place.
