MINOT – Many Minot residents have already received delivery of blue-topped recycling carts, complete with instructions on what items can and can’t be placed inside them. Those residents who have not yet received a recycling cart should look for one to be placed at their residence this week.
“Cart delivery is not completed yet,” said Christina Wolf, recycling coordinator, on Monday morning. “We are looking at possibly having all the carts delivered by the end of this week. We were anticipating next week but they are rolling them our very quickly.”
Many of the recycling carts were delivered on the Fourth of July, well ahead of the first pick-up date on Monday, July 17 for those residents whose regular garbage pick-up days are Mondays and Thursdays. Residents with Tuesday and Friday collection days will begin recycling on July 18.
The customer cost for recycling is $2.50 per month. Residents who do not wish to participate, you can exercise their one-time opt out option here.
All recycling materials picked up in the city will be packed up and transported to Shakopee, Minnesota for processing.
