Ward County Injury crash – US #83, 4 miles south of Minot

Where: 4 miles south of Minot, ND on US #83

When: 8-30-22   2:00 PM

Road Conditions: Good clear driving conditions

Weather Conditions: Sunny

Type of Crash: One vehicle rollover

Agencies Involved: North Dakota Highway Patrol, Ward County SO, Community ambulance

Vehicle No. 1:         1982 Chevy pickup

Driver No. 1:           Scott Hamman – 50 year old male – Garrison, ND

Restraints:  No seatbelt in use - ejected

Charges:      Pending

NARRATIVE: Vehicle #1 was northbound on US #83 en route to Minot, ND from Garrison, ND.  For reasons unknown, the vehicle entered the center median, struck a crossover, and overturned in the center median coming to rest on its wheels facing in a SE direction.  During the rollover, the driver was ejected.  The driver was transported to Trinity hospital with serious injuries.  The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
