MINOT — Roosevelt Park Zoo in Minot has switched to summer hours starting today.

Andrea Tronson, public program manager, said the hours are now 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Summer activities scheduled are the “Wild About Safety” event for everyone on June 7, put on by Trinity Hospital, and the “Bacon and Brew” event for adults 21+ on August 11.

“For the safety event, the zoo will only be open 2 to 7,” said Tronson. “And ‘Bacon and Brew’ will be in the evening, so we’ll shut down the zoo early.”

Fall hours start August 22, which will be 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Winter hours start October 3, which will be 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
