MINOT — Trinity Health has planned several events and initiatives this year and to mark 100 years of delivering care to the region.
Trinity Health was founded on April 25, 1922, when Lutheran pastors and congregants from around the region gathered to raise money for a 30-bed hospital in Minot, Trinity’s original hospital unit. Since then, Trinity Health has grown to become a regional care system, providing a full complement of healthcare services to communities in North Dakota and Eastern Montana.
“Over the past 100 years we’ve achieved countless milestones and innovations,” said President and CEO John Kutch. “As we prepare to open our new campus, we’re offering even more clinical advancements and the latest technology that will solidify our place as a regional referral and healthcare system for many years to come.”
Centennial year activities include a social media scavenger hunt that will be offered each week in April. The selfie hunt will invite participants to take selfie photos incorporating structures that recall Trinity’s history. Clues and instructions will be posted on Trinity’s Facebook page, TrinityHealth.ND, each Monday beginning April 4. Selfies will then be submitted by email to foundit@trinityhealth.org, and names of those who submit the correct photo will be placed in a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card. Bonus questions will also be posted on Trinity’s Instagram account, trinityhealthnd, and twitter, @TrinityHealthND.
Other festivities planned during the year include an employee picnic, a centennial cookbook and a “100 Days of Giving” project. In addition, people who visit trinityhealth.org/100years during 2022 will have an opportunity to share memories and stories of Trinity’s past.
