Larimore Fire, and Larimore Ambulance Service
Vehicle No. 1: 2014 Ford Fusion
Driver No. 1: Male; 48 years old; Grand Forks, ND; uninjured
Restraints: Seatbelt worn; airbag deployed
Charges: Failed to yield right of way at intersection marked with stop sign
Vehicle No. 2: 2021 Toyota Rav4
Driver No. 2: Female; 77 years old; Fargo, ND; serious injuries
Restraints: Seatbelt worn; airbags deployed
Charges: None
NARRATIVE:
The Ford was northbound on ND Highway 18, at the stop sign regulated intersection
with US Highway 2. The Toyota was eastbound on US Highway 2. The Ford failed to yield the
right of way, entered the intersection, struck the Toyota, and came to rest in the intersection.
The Toyota entered the south ditch, tripped, rolled, and came to rest on its wheels. The driver
of the Toyota sustained serious injuries and was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks
by the Larimore Ambulance Service.
