Trinity Hospital release
MINOT—Trinity Homes Administrator Wade Peterson has announced that Arvin Abrea, RN, nurse manager of the 2E and 2W units, has been promoted to the position of Director of Nursing.
As DON, Abrea will be responsible for maintaining high standards of nursing care for the center’s residents and play a key role in ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and practices.
“Arvin has shown genuine concern for the staff he works with as well as the patients and residents he cares for,” Peterson said. “I believe he has all the qualities and skills to be an exceptional leader.”
Originally from Davao City, Philippines, Abrea joined Trinity Homes as a staff nurse in 2016 at a time when Trinity Health was actively recruiting nurses internationally. He earned an accounting degree and received two years of nurse’s training in The Philippines before moving to the United Kingdom where he earned a Bachelor of Science in International Healthcare and Nursing, graduating with honors.
While in the U.K., Abrea accepted an invitation to interview with Trinity Health. He has spent most of his nursing career at Trinity Homes and is the first Philippine recruit to become a DON within Trinity’s system.
“I see this as a chance to inspire others and help people unleash their potential,” Abrea said. “The great thing about long term care is that you get a chance to learn from people who have had a whole lifetime of experience. You also get to work with some of the best, most caring people in healthcare.”
