Lisa Hermosillo has announced she will be seeking the Democratic-NPL endorsement to the North Dakota House of Representatives for District 38.
Growing up on a 3rd generation family farm, Hermosillo understands firsthand what farmers bring to our economy and communities. Farm life taught her the value of discipline and good work ethic, which she's passed on to her children. As part of the military community for over eleven years, she can relate to the unique challenges that our service members, spouses, and children encounter. All these experiences have shaped her perspectives and motivation to be part of the solution.
Hermosillo holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, concentrated in Addiction Studies. Previous professional experience includes banking, property management & veteran healthcare. Over the last several months, she has been working effortlessly to bring awareness to mental health and the impact suicides have, not just locally, but nationally. Her dedication to Minot also includes founding Talk United-Minot, which aims to provide connections and support to airmen, veterans, and the community. She has established herself as a voice for vulnerable populations and continues to be a catalyst for change.
“I am running for office because North Dakotans need representation that has demonstrated the ability to prioritize listening, taking challenges head on, and will lead the way in welcoming every individual’s concern with dignity and respect. I am dedicated to increasing the availability of qualified childcare, addressing workforce retention, easing accessibility to mental health services, and resolving high taxes affecting business owners and residents residing in District 38. If I am elected, I will work efficiently and collectively with others to ensure that concerns are handled purposefully.”
With your vote, we can make North Dakota a great place to call home for generations to come.
