BISMARCK — Mark Splonskowski announced he is running for Burleigh County Auditor.

Splonskowski was hired to work for Burleigh county tax and equalization in 2014 and is still employed there.

"It has been a great pleasure working for Burleigh County and with the taxpayers," he said.

In 2020 he was elected to the Bismarck City Commission. He said he has been honored to serve the people and represent them in local government and looks forward to continuing his term with the city, as well as serving the people county wide as auditor.

"I have decided to run for County Auditor after working with and in close proximity with the Auditors office for the past 8 years. I desire to use the knowledge and experience I have gained at Burleigh County, as well as the time I have spent on the City Commission to work for the people on the county level," Splonskowski said. "I am seeking this position in an effort to ensure ever improving service to the people of Burleigh County."

Splonskowski grew up near Lake Park, MN and moved to Bismarck in 2013 to marry his wife Alexandria, and they now have two children, Charlotte and Martin.
