NARRATIVE: A 2015 Freightliner garbage truck was westbound on Highway 2 near MM 179
and left the roadway, entering the median. The vehicle vaulted over a highway crossover and
landed in the median where it crossed back over the westbound lanes and came to rest in the
north ditch. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The name of the
driver will be released pending next of kin notification.
