Victim dies from injuries sustained in a shooting incident
Update 11.24.23:
Ansu Kamara, 29, of Minot has died from injuries sustained in the shooting incident that
occurred on Nov. 17 in NW Minot. Minot Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for
Quantdre Octavious Mersier. Investigation is ongoing. With the change in circumstances,
charges will be reviewed by the State’s Attorney office. No arrests have been made.
Update 11.20.23:
The Minot Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Quantdre Octavious Mersier for
involvement in the shooting that occurred on Nov. 17 in NW Minot. Mersier, 30, of Minot has
been issued an arrest warrant for Attempted Murder, Class A Felony.
If anyone sees Mersier, do not approach him and call the authorities immediately. Our
investigators believe that this was an isolated incident. The investigation is ongoing. We are
attempting to locate Mersier, if you have any information about his whereabouts, contact the
Minot Police Department at 701.852.0111.

We are investigating a shooting that occurred late Friday night in NW Minot.
The victim, a 29-year-old male from Minot was transported to Trinity Hospital for a serious
gunshot injury.
The suspect fled the scene. We are actively investigating this incident. We will update the public
when more information is available.
