MINOT – Robert Watterud, 35, Powers Lake, is facing four Class A felony counts of Gross Sexual Imposition. He is currently being held in the Mountrail County Correctional Facility in Stanley following his August 18 arrest.
Earlier this week Watterud made an interactive television appearance in North-Central District Court before Judge Richard Hagar. Watterud had little to say during his initial appearance in which Hagar set a preliminary hearing on the charges against Watterud for October 10, at 10:05 a.m.
The charges allege that Watterud sexually assaulted a girl when she was as young as six years old in 2013 and continued to do so until she was 12 years old.
No plea was entered at the hearing. Hagar set bond at $35,000.
