Judge Approves Request

MINOT – There's another delay in the Anita Knutson murder case.

Attorneys for both sides asked the court for more time to work through “significant, new discovery.” Judge Richard Hagar agreed, pushing back a pretrial conference initially set for June 14 to September 27

Knutson’s body was discovered in her Minot apartment on June 4, 2007. No arrest was made in the case until March 16, 2022, when Knutson’s roommate, now Nichole Rice, was taken into custody. She was released on bond after her initial court appearance the following day.

The pretrial conference in the case was first scheduled for June 2022, but has been continued numerous times. Knutson was 18 years old at the time of her murder.
