Sunday, April 30 at New Medical Campus

MINOT— Trinity Health has announced it will relocate all hospital services, including the Emergency Trauma Center, to its new Healthcare Campus and Medical District on Sunday, April 30, starting at 6 a.m.

Dr. Jeffrey Sather, medical director of the Emergency Trauma Center, says on Sunday at 6 a.m., the new ETC will open for business at the new campus, and the old emergency department in downtown Minot will no longer accept patients. He says providers will continue to evaluate and treat patients who are already in cue, but they won’t accept any new patients after 6 a.m. on April 30. Those patients will need to go to the new campus.

Also, at that time area ambulance crews and state health partners will begin transporting inpatients from the old hospital facility to the new hospital in regular intervals in a process expected to take most of the day. The move will begin in the morning and will be finished when the last patient has been safely transferred to the new campus.

The long-anticipated move will be a highly choreographed production for every hospital department as they begin seeing patients at the new facility while closing out activity at the old hospital. Assisting will be teams comprised of experts with experience moving hospitals, regional and state EMS personnel, and well-trained clinical staff who care for patients on a day-to-day basis.

The new campus is located at 2305 37th Avenue SW, a mile and a half west of the U.S. Highway 83 and 37th Avenue SW intersection.
