The Minot Area Chamber EDC invites the public to participate in its annual Citywide Cleanup event on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6.
The Citywide Cleanup is an effort to beautify our community before summer arrives. Minot Area Chamber EDC member-investors and any other community members are invited to clean up around their buildings and to provide volunteers to clean the city entrances.
“We are always so happy to see the snow finally melt each spring, but it tends to uncover a lot of trash,” said Carla Dolan, Vice President of the Minot Area Chamber EDC. “We’re grateful that year after year, volunteers come together to tidy up our town and make Minot more beautiful as warm weather arrives.”
Those who want to participate are asked to send a team captain to the Minot Area Chamber EDC office at 1020 20th Ave SW to collect trash bags during the week starting May 1. Then be sure to bring gloves and head out on Friday, May 5 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and fill up trash bags. Once they are filled, place them in a pile or two along the roadway and city crews will pick them up.
