Six season record of 10-45

MINOT, N.D. – Minot State University will be looking for a new head football coach.

The University announced today that coach Mike Aldrich's contract is not being renewed, marking the end of his 6-year tenure as head coach of the program.

"Discussions about the future of the Beaver football program led to this point where we felt the best path forward for our program was to make a change," Minot State Director of Athletics Kevin Forde said. "We appreciate Mike's work and dedication to the football program and what he has done for the University. We wish him all the best."

Minot State University will immediately start the process of identifying a new head coach.

During Coach Aldrich's time at Minot State, the Beavers saw offensive lineman Sebastian Gutierrez become an NFL prospect as the former Minot State player signed a free agent contract with the Denver Broncos during the summer of 2022.

JoseLuis Moreno, Ali Mohamed, and Gutierrez were named All-Americans under Coach Aldrich's guidance, Philip Green was honored as one of just 22 players in all of college football to be named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team in the fall of 2021, and defensive lineman Will Jordan was named a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American.

During Coach Aldrich's tenure – which included the cancelation of the 2020 season because of COVID – the Beavers compiled a 10-45 overall record, all of which were NSIC games.
