Electrical fire damages unit at Henry Towers

Fire damaged one unit at Henry Towers in southeast Minot on Friday.
The Minot Fire Department was dispatched to 1000 2nd St. SE at 10:45 a.m. for a
fire alarm activation.
Fire crews arrived on scene within three minutes of the initial dispatch and found
smoke in the hallway of the 9th floor. Upon further investigation, crews found that
the fire had been extinguished prior to arrival. The fire was contained to one room.
Two engines, one ladder, and two command units responded to the fire. No injuries
were reported to fire crews or the residents.
The origin of the fire was determined to be an electrical fire caused by a phone
charger.
