MINOT – Is it sledding season yet? A booth at the 2022 Norsk Hostfest is ready for it!
Brent and Kristie Fingerson, owners of Scandia Kicksled of Houston, Minnesota, are selling Norwegian kick sleds and Scandinavian merchandise at the Hostfest this year, September 28 through October 1.
“We sell things that are not Scandinavian but are beautiful, we have a lot of costume jewelry too, things that we just think are lovely,” said Kristie Fingerson.
Fingerson said the Hostfest is their biggest event, though they will sometimes set up at a Sons of Norway or Finnfest event.
“We also have a brick-and-mortar gift shop in Houston where we sell our items out of,” said Fingerson. “But we come to Hosfest because my parents started coming 25 years ago, my grandmother started coming over 30 years ago. It’s just become a tradition to come here.”
