WATFORD CITY — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says that a man and young girl were seriously injured near Watford City in a motorcycle crash Sunday morning.
According to the NDHP, the motorcycle, being driven by a 35-year-old man with a 13-year-old girl as a passenger, was traveling north on Hwy 1806. The driver stated the motorcycle began experiencing mechanical issues. The driver failed to negotiate the curve, crossed into the other lane, and onto the left shoulder of the roadway.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle and tipped. The motorcycle came to rest facing northeast on the left shoulder of the roadway. The girl fell from the motorcycle. The driver’s leg was pinned under the motorcycle.
The driver and passenger were transported by McKenzie County Ambulance to McKenzie County Hospital. The passenger was then transported by air to Trinity Hospital in Minot.
