MINOT — The Minot Vistas had their fair share of struggles as they fell to Fargo Post #2 2-0 Wednesday night at Corbett Field. Fargo’s 2 runs came in the 3rd inning on a string of three consecutive 2-out hits after a Vistas error.
Fargo's starting pitcher Elias Harris was dominant, only allowing 1 hit during his complete game shutout performance Harris also struck out six Vistas batters and gave up 2 walks.
“Their pitcher really dominated; he was able to locate all three pitches in the strike zone consistently, not make any problems for himself. He was able to get help from his defense when he needed it, he really controlled the pace from the start,” Vistas Head Coach Pat Arnston said about Harris’ performance.
The Vistas continue with hosting Grand Forks Thursday at 5 p.m. before Moorhead visits Saturday at 3 p.m. and hosting Williston at 5 p.m. on Monday. All games to be played at Corbett Field.
