BURLINGTON — Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Amtrak resumed services Monday.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe issued a statement saying that the track where a train derailed is now open as of 2:30 a.m.

BNSF General Director of Public Affairs Lena Kent said BNSF is still in the process of clearing the damaged equipment and fixing the track.

"We appreciate the ongoing assistance of local first responders during this incident," said Kent.

Amtrak Media Relations Director Marc Magliari said Amtrak services are now back to normal operation.

The cause of the derailment is still under investigation.
