MINOT — Minot Police say earlier today around 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a woman laying down in the snow near the area of the Post Office. She has been identified as a 73-year-old Minot resident.

They say the woman was not adequately dressed for the weather. Investigation has indicated she may have been dealing with challenges regarding mental health issues at the time she laid down in the snow. No foul play is suspected.

Investigation is continuing and her identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
