FARGO — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the Fargo Police found a man dead in his Subaru in a concrete drainage ditch of Fargo on Saturday morning.

Robert Wagner, 31, the driver, was the only person in the vehicle. He was extricated from the vehicle. Lifesaving efforts were attempted but he died as a result of the injuries.

The NDHP determined that Wagner had been driving at a high speed and hit a pole, where his car flew over onto the other side of the concrete ditch. His car then slid into the ditch full of water and floated down a bit.

This crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
