MINOT — Mother Nature has forced the City of Minot to reschedule its clean-up day around the city land-fill planned for April 22 – again.
A new date for the event has not been selected.
“Postponing this event probably isn’t a surprise to anyone, given the amount of snow we received in the past week,” Mayor Shaun Sipma said. “It simply isn’t feasible to have a clean-up day around the landfill right now. But we are committed to cleaning up this area, and we’ll be looking for a day in the near future to hold this event. Hopefully, the weather cooperates soon.”
Several businesses are partnering with the xity to provide necessary items for this event, including Target, Home Depot, Menards, Wal-Mart, Cash Wise Foods, and Marketplace Foods.
Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Anna Schraeder at the City Manager’s office at anna.schraeder@minotnd.org or by calling 857-4750. Volunteers will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to assisting with the clean-up.
