Non-Profit Brings Conservative Education to North Dakotans

COLEHARBOR—“Facts, Science, and the Spin… BeTruthful in Educating” is the mission statement of BeTruthful, a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Coleharbor, ND. The board consists of conservative-minded folks who live throughout North Dakota.

Margo Knorr, one of the founders of BeTruthful who spoke on behalf of the organization, explained their concerns with the dissemination of misinformation, pragmatism, and “the challenges conservatives sometimes face with shadow banning and censoring on social media.”

“We are concerned with the amount of quality education out there [not enough] … and of what comes through media and TV.”

Margo Knorr, BeTruthful founder

She continued, “We are concerned with the amount of quality education out there [not enough] … and of what comes through media and TV.” In their opinion, part of the problem of misinformation in schools, media, and in the political sphere is that not enough people are listening to experts from both sides of an issue.

Knorr added, “We want to hear from people who have been directly researching these kinds of topics; like climate change, critical race theory (CRT), and public health issues. You can’t just take what is spoon-fed to you by the media, if so, you are being misguided.”

BeTruthful members do not claim to be the experts of every topic, however they say their vision is to bring in those with expertise in certain matters like in some of the topics listed above.

“We really felt compelled to bring in these speakers into North Dakota to hear first-hand from experts,” explained Knorr, “and to get people in North Dakota informed and involved in spreading helpful information.”

Marc Morano, publisher of CFACT’s Climate Depot website and author of the 2021 book Green Fraud, is scheduled to speak at the live Q&A event at the Belle Mehus Auditorium in Bismarck, Jan 6, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:00 p.m.). Tickets are priced at $25 (students) and $35 (adults). More event details can be found here
