Minot Shooting Suspect Arrested in Indiana

Earlier today (Thursday), the Fort Wayne Police Department arrested Quantdre Octavious
Mersier in Fort Wayne, Indiana for the shooting that occurred on November 17,
2023 in NW Minot.
The Fort Wayne Police Department Gang and Violent Crimes Unit made the arrest
with assistance from the US Marshall’s Service.
Mersier was arrested on a Class AA Felony Murder warrant.


Update 11/24/2023:
Ansu Kamara, 29 of Minot has died from injuries sustained in the shooting incident
that occurred on Nov. 17 in NW Minot. Minot Police Department has issued an arrest
warrant for Quantdre Octavious Mersier. Investigation is ongoing. With the change
in circumstances, charges will be reviewed by the State’s Attorney office. No arrests
have been made.

The Minot Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Quantdre Octavious
Mersier involvement in the shooting that occurred on Nov. 17 in NW Minot.
Quantdre Octavious Mersier, 30, of Minot, has been issued an arrest warrant for
Attempted Murder, Class A Felony.
