NARRATIVE: A Ram 1500 was westbound on Highway 23 when the vehicle crossed over the
centerline into the eastbound lanes and struck a Peterbilt Truck. The Ram 1500 came to rest in
the center of the highway facing south while the Peterbilt came to rest in the south ditch of
the eastbound lanes. The driver of the Ram 1500 was flown to Trinity Hospital and succumbed
to his injuries on 03/19/2024. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the
crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The name of the
driver will be released pending next of kin notification.
