MINOT -- The District 40 Republicans held their endorsing convention on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 6:30 PM, where they endorsed their candidates for the upcoming elections.

Jose Castaneda secured the endorsement for Senate, while Incumbent Matt Ruby and Macy Bolinske were both endorsed for House of Representatives positions.

The convention, held at the old KC Club in Minot, saw a large turnout with approximately 130 attendees, among which over 100 were voting members, reflecting a strong interest and engagement within the District 40 community.

District Chairman Jay Lundeen expressed excitement about the convention's turnout and the endorsement of the candidates stating, "We are excited to see the turnout in District 40 for this important occasion. We are thankful to have our candidates endorsed and will be supporting them in the primary and general election."

Looking ahead, the District 40 Republicans are gearing up for the primary election scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, followed by the General Election on Tuesday, November 5.
