MINOT---I am pleased to formally announce my 2024 Minot Public School Boar
candidacy. Minot is my home; graduating from both Minot High School (2011) and
Minot State University (2015). At MSU, I earned my degree in Criminal Justice with
minors in Accounting and Fraud Examination. I have worked in the financial sector for
the last 13 years and enjoy spending time experiencing our community through various
channels.
Throughout my schooling and career, I have always faced challenges head on. Right
now our district is facing challenges that may not be easy to overcome but need the
right people in place to help navigate through the issues at hand. My leadership abilities
include effective communication, creative problem solving, listening, and identifying
efficiencies. I look forward to putting these skills to use alongside other members on the
Minot Public School Board to ensure our children are getting the quality of education
they deserve.
My husband and I have two children who are ages 5 and 2. We are excited for our son
to enter the Minot Public School System as a kindergartner at Edison in the upcoming
school year. I am a firm believer in being involved in the parts of your life that matter the
most, and for me that is my children and their future education. While many of us lead
busy lives with full time work, full time parenting, or a mixture of both, I’d like to be a role
model to parents that being engaged in the activities of your children, no matter how big
or small, can lead to positive impacts in the future.
I am sincerely thankful for our current leadership’s commitment and want to continue to
ensure the board is made up of various backgrounds and stages of life. I am ready to
lead Minot Public Schools into the future with my leadership, vision, and dedication. I
look forward to meeting the needs of our children and our community. To keep up to
