Macy Bolinske release
Macy Bolinske announces her candidacy for the open North Dakota House of Representatives seat in District 40 in Minot.
Macy Bolinske grew up in Minot, North Dakota, graduated from Bishop Ryan Catholic School and went on to get a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Dakota, graduating Summa Cumma Laude. Macy and her husband Ben Bolinske have both coached within the Minot Public School District and believe North Dakota is the best place to start a business and raise a family.
In 2014, Macy was chosen as Miss Norsk Hostfest which led to her involvement with the Miss America Organization. In 2016, she was crowned Miss North Dakota, representing the state at the 2017 Miss America competition. During her year of service within the organization, Macy did a school tour speaking to thousands of North Dakota students of all ages with her presentation, You Decide the Road Ahead. In addition to her school tour, she partnered with the North Dakota Department of Transportation on a campaign, worked closely with Northern Lights Students Against Destructive Decisions and met with our Representative and Senators in Washington, DC. At UND, she served as a student representative on two separate committees dedicated to addressing high-risk alcohol and drug use both among students and community members. Macy’s professional experience includes being a Case Manager, Paraprofessional, and Financial Administrator for some of our local businesses. She currently serves on the board for the North Dakota Miss Amazing pageant, a competition for women and girls with disabilities, and has been involved since its inception.
Macy is running on the Republican Party platform and conservative midwestern values with the core tenets of individual liberty and personal responsibility. Macy intends to focus her legislative efforts on substance abuse and other family issues such as economic development, taxation and small government.
I hope to be elected by the people of District 40 to represent them in the North Dakota House in order to champion our Midwestern values and uphold an environment conducive to bringing in new people and businesses to our great state. I plan to focus my efforts to boost our economy and continue to give personal fiscal freedom to everyone. Curtailing taxes, maintaining control over outside entities in our state and protecting the vulnerable are my top priorities.
