MINOT -- Minot Parks is excited to bring a new event to the community this fall! Minot Kite
Festival will be at the Outdoor Family Recreation Area on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from
10 am - 4 pm.
The Minot Kite Festival features kite flyers from across the state, live music, food trucks, and
yard games. The festival will feature multiple professional kite flyers and some of the largest
kites in production.
“We are excited to bring a new free, family friendly event to Minot,” say Elly DesLauriers,
Executive Director of Minot Parks. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase some of North Dakota’s
most impressive kites and enjoy our newest trail system at the Minot Outdoor Family Recreation
Area.”
The Festival will be free to attend, food trucks, kites, and wind decor will be available for
purchase. Kite enthusiasts and families are invited to bring their lawn chairs and help fill the
skies with kites.
