City of Minot release
Several roads will be closed in the morning for the annual North Dakota State Fair Parade.
The parade route will begin from the intersection of 18th Ave SW and S. Broadway.
It will proceed Northbound to Burdick Expressway, where the route will continue
Eastbound on Burdick, ending at the State Fair Grounds. The parade is preceded by
the “Run the Route 5K,” which starts at 8:45 a.m.
Officers will begin blocking traffic at 8:00 a.m., starting with South Broadway from
18th Ave SW to Burdick Expressway, at 8:30 a.m. Burdick Expressway will be
blocked to traffic for the duration of the parade. Motorists are asked to use
alternate routes.
The Burdick Expressway viaduct construction project cones and barriers will be
moved Friday, opening all four lanes for traffic through Sunday. The cones/barriers
will be reinstalled Monday when they continue the project.
