EVENT DETAILS
After a seasonably cool first half of July, temperatures are expected to warm up this coming weekend and stay hot through next week. There is a moderate risk (40%) of excessive heat July 25-27th, which means highs will likely reach at least the mid to upper 90s across western and central North Dakota. The probability of a high temperature of at least 100 degrees during these days is in the 20 to 50% range, with these probabilities highest on Tuesday the 25th. Above normal temperatures are expected the remainder of the week, and with how cool it has been lately, the risk of heat-related impacts will be compounded. Visit www.weather.gov/safety/heat for more information on heat safety and heat related illnesses.
