Bottineau County Airplane Crash
NARRATIVE:
June 22nd, 2023, at approximately 12:20 pm:
A 1965 Piper Pawnee airplane departed from the New Hope Airport (Westhope, ND). The
airplane crashed into a field to the NW of the Airport. The North Dakota Highway Patrol
responded along with the Bottineau County Sheriff’s Department, Westhope Fire Department,
Westhope Ambulance and Trinity First Response. The pilot (48 yr old male of Westhope, ND)
was transported by Trinity First Response for serious injuries.
This crash is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
