MINOT-- Junior Martin Rodriquez and senior Matt Malone each collected three hits to help propel the Minot State Beavers over the Mary Marauders 9-7 on Sunday in NSIC baseball.
Junior Gage Yost (4-2) started on the mound and picked up the win for Minot State (26-15 overall, 17-12 NSIC). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up three runs, one earned, on five hits, allowing two walks and striking out five.
In addition to his three hits, Malone had an RBI to lead the Beavers. Rodriquez added a home run and two RBI to his three-hit performance as well. Junior Shane Kary also chipped in for Minot State, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate while adding a double and two RBI.
Minot State is back in action on Tuesday, closing out its home schedule at Corbett Field hosting Southwest Minnesota State in a doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m.
