MINOT –Jason Kraft, officer at the Ward County Sheriff’s Department, received a ten-year service award at the Ward County Commissioners meeting Tuesday.

“It’s actually his second time at the Sheriff’s department,” said Sheriff Robert Roed. “He left us briefly to become an electrician and definitely liked this job better.”

Roed said including Kraft’s first time with the department he has been with the Sheriff’s Office for more than ten years.

“He’s brought us really good training,” said Roed. “His knowledge of computers is excellent. That’s really helpful to me. I usually just nod and agree.”

Kraft has worked with investigations for much of his time with the department.
