Now ranked No. 8 in Central Region

MINOT – Riding a five-game win streak after a pair of home shutouts, the Minot State women’s soccer team climbed two places in the most recent United Soccer Coaches (USC) Central Region poll released this week.

Checking in two weeks ago at No. 10, the Beavers (7-2-4 overall, 7-1-2 NSIC) find themselves No. 8 in this week’s poll.

One of four NSIC teams in the Central Region poll, Minot State is one spot ahead of Northern State, which is ninth this week. Minnesota State, Mankato was No. 2 in the poll, and Bemidji State is No. 5.

Minot State heads to Minnesota to play Minnesota State, Mankato – which is ranked No. 14 nationally – on Friday in a battle for the NSIC lead, then plays at Concordia, St. Paul on Sunday.
