Parshall Football Season Canceled

PARSHALL – Due to a limited number of players the Braves have canceled their high school football season. They were scheduled to host Tioga in their opening game Friday, August 19 but were forced to foreit, giving Tioga a 2-0 official win.

The remaining five games on the Brave’s schedule have been canceled.

“Not enough players. I wish it was not true,” said Amber Cieslik, principal. “Junior high football is still going.”

Other games on this year’s Braves’ schedule are Divide County, Alexander, Lewis & Clark, Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood, and Dunseith.

Parshall High School enrollment is about 40 students, making them one of the smallest schools in the state. The Braves are in the 9-man football division.
