MINOT — Due to staff shortages, the Minot Public Library has adjusted its service hours for the first several days of February.

This week, the library will be open on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 5-6.

Reduced hours also means that some programs will be cancelled, including Tech. Ed. at the Parker Senior Center scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 3 and a 3D printing program scheduled on Feb. 3 at 4 p.m. Take & Make programs for all ages are still planned as scheduled.

The Arts in the City – Sundays at the library concert scheduled for Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. will now be held at the Carnegie Center in downtown Minot. This concert is co-hosted by the Minot Public Library and Minot Area Council of the Arts. Sunday’s concert features Subzero Winds, a woodwind quartet.

Groups with meeting room reservations will be contacted by library staff if the schedule change impacts meeting room availability.

MPL staff reminds patrons that items can be returned in the outdoor book drop and that materials will automatically renew when possible.
