Got Halloween party plans? If you plan on consuming alcoholic beverages, then your plan should include a designated driver. Volunteers from the Minot AFB chapter of AADD (Airmen Against Drunk Driving) were at the front gates of the base this morning at 6 a.m. with signs and candy to remind drivers passing through the gates to not drink and drive this Halloween weekend. “We have 21 people out here this morning, and we want to get the message out about the dangers of drinking and driving,” according to SSgt Jan Mariel D. Punelas, President of the MAFG AADD chapter. “To date this year we have had over 194 saves, and we average around 12-13 rides each night of the weekend.”
AADD is staffed by volunteers. MAFB personnel need only call 727-2233 (AADD) to get a free and confidential ride home.
