City of Minot release
The Minot Fire Department was dispatched to 112 8th Ave NW at 11:28 a.m. for reports of a
fire in a detached, single-stall garage.
Firefighters arrived and found heavy smoke and fire in the single-stall detached garage.
Upon arrival, it was determined that no occupants were in the garage.
The firefighters began extinguishing the fire. The crews contained the fire to the garage,
preventing it from spreading to adjacent buildings and minimizing the damage to the
garage.
Crews from all five fire stations responded to the fire.
No injuries were reported; the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
