Minot, ND - Minot attorney Andrew Schultz announced today that he is seeking the North Dakota Republican Party's 2024 endorsement and nomination for election as District 40's state senator.

Incumbent Sen. Karen Kresbach recently announced she would not run for re-election. "I'm grateful and thankful for Sen. Kresbach's decades of service to our district," Schultz said. "I hope to continue her legacy in making our community safer and stronger. That includes commitments to individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, security, and opportunity."

Schultz is the current First Vice-Chairman of the local District 40 GOP district committee. He describes himself as pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, and pro-small business. "I'm looking forward to talking with voters about the issues facing our community, and what can be done at the state level. It's going to be an exciting campaign," he said.

Schultz resides in Minot with his wife, Kim. A U.S. Army veteran, he was honorably discharged from active duty in 2010. He has owned and operated the Minot law firm of Worthington & Schultz, P.C. since 2011.

The primary election is June 11, and the general election is November 5.
