Minot State University release
MINOT – Gearing up for a new season of action, the Beaver Athletic Department is adding to its administrative team to help maximize fans’ game-day experience as Minot State’s Director of Athletics, Kevin Forde, is pleased to introduce Diana Stetson as the new Assistant Athletic Director of Hospitality.
Stetson will be in charge of hospitality for Minot State suite holders at Beaver athletic events, as well as supervisor concession operations. She began her duties last week.
“I was impressed by Diana’s plan to increase the experience for the people that come to an event at Minot State University,” Forde said. “She is very organized and I look forward to seeing what she will do for those utilizing the suites and in our concession stands. We have already hit the ground running getting prepped for our first home events.”
“I want to thank Kevin Forde, Janna McKechnie, and the rest of the Minot State administration for this opportunity,” Stetson said. “I enjoyed being able to help Beaver Athletics on game days over the past two years and I am excited to step in and have a greater role in creating a memorable game-day experience for Minot State fans.”
Stetson brings a variety of experience with her to the position which includes working as manager at a family restaurant in Oregon where she did purchasing, accounting, scheduling, and filled other roles on a daily basis, as needed.
“I hope that my own experience at Minot State events over the past few years, as well as my experience from other colleges and working as a restaurant manager will benefit Beaver Athletics as we work to create a memorable game-day environment for our suite holders and fans,” Stetson added.
Most recently, Diana has been a game-day volunteer for the past two years for Minot State athletics while also working at a local Minot day care.
Prior to moving to North Dakota with her husband and three children, Stetson worked on campus at Waldorf University in Iowa for the campus radio station and doing game stats in athletics. She also served as a fire medic in the Boise, Idaho area for 15 years.
Stetson received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Oregon State in 1999, and a bachelor’s degree in Fire Science from Valencia College in 2002.
