MINOT, N.D. – Minot State first baseman Gunnar Kozlowitz has earned his second award for his defensive efforts.
The junior from Littleton, Colorado was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Central Region All-Defensive Team, which was announced this week, after putting up an outstanding .996 field percentage this past season for the Beavers.
Kozlowitz also was named to the NSIC All-Defensive Team this spring as he had 244 putouts at first base with 13 assists and just one error all season for that .996 fielding percentage.
The Beavers first baseman also earned First Team All-NSIC honors and was named to the ABCA Central Region Second Team this season.
Kozlowitz led Minot State with a .410 batting average this spring, and his 16 home runs and 16 doubles also were team highs. Playing in 46 of the Beavers' 48 games, he also was second on the team with 53 RBIs.
