Dan Jonasson will retire on Sept. 1 after 17 years as the Public Works Director at the City of Minot.
“I appreciate the 17 years of employment with the City of Minot,” Jonasson said in his retirement letter. “It has been anything but boring and uneventful. From the massive growth of the city due to the oil boom to the flood fight of 2011 to the massive flood recovery efforts, I have had some very memorable moments during my employment in Minot.”
Jonasson submitted his letter to City Manager Harold Stewart on March 17.
“We thank Dan for his 17 years of work for the residents of Minot,” Stewart said. “He’s been an important part of our organization as the head of our largest department, and he’s played an important role in the ongoing flood protection project. We wish him well in retirement.”
