HOEVEN STATEMENT ON BIDEN STUDENT DEBT CANCELLATION
GRAND FORKS – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after President Biden announced his plan to cancel student debt.
“The Democrats’ reckless spending has caused record-high inflation, and now the Biden administration wants to spend billions more for student loan debt forgiveness,” said Hoeven. “As we’ve seen with the price of gas and groceries, this is the wrong approach and does nothing to actually make college more affordable. Also, it’s unfair for those who have paid for their college or didn’t go to college.”
