MINOT — Those old items that have been taking up room in your garage or in a corner of your basement can be tossed curbside this week. That's right, and the City of Minot will haul it away.
On Monday piles of unwanted items could be seen stacked in front of homes throughout the city, primarily in the southwest which was first on the list for city sanitation crews. Old water heaters, a worn out chair, lawn furniture long since replaced, bad garden hoses – all mixed in with some perfectly good items waiting for someone to pick them up and put them to use.
Spring Clean-up Week began Monday and continues through Friday in the city. Click here to see when your area of town is due for collection.
Twice each year, once in the spring and again in the fall, City of Minot offers Clean-up Week, a chance for homeowners to discard bulky items without having to make a special trip to the landfill. Hazardous waste will not be collected, nor commercial construction waste, tree stumps, or large piles of tree branches.
