GRAND FORKS — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a tipped trailer caused a temporary closure to an entrance ramp of Interstate-29 Friday morning.

According to the NDHP, Mauricio Jimenez-Flores, 22, Oklahoma City, OK was driving a pick-up west on U.S. Highway 2/Gateway Drive in Grand Forks, pulling a gooseneck flatbed trailer loaded with a piece of industrial equipment.

Jimenez-Flores drove onto the entrance ramp to enter southbound Interstate 29. While he was negotiating a curve in the ramp, the trailer tipped onto its left side and became uncoupled from the pick-up.

Neither he or his passenger were injured. The ramp was closed for approximately two hours while the trailer was removed.

The NDHP cited Jimenez-Flores with Care Required and commercial vehicle violations.
